January 8, 2020 – The Ministry of Education announces the resumption of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) tutorial classes for all 12th graders within Public Schools to commence on January 18, 2020, beginning at 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, every Saturday, leading to the date of the examinations.
All private schools are encouraged to likewise conduct classes for their students in preparation of the WASSCE as was done last year to boaster the performances of students.
Notwithstanding, the Ministry intends to conduct a holistic mock examination for all students of both public and private schools nation-wide on April 18, 2020, aimed at providing necessary acknowledge to help students master the skills needed to ensure all procedural processes are adhered to during the actual examinations.
The Ministry reminds all students and parents that the top performing students of this years’ WASSCE examinations will be afforded foreign scholarship as was done in the last year.
The Ministry of Education appreciates all private school secretariats, administrators and proprietors and encourages all to comply with the directive; striving for improved performance of students.
