GPE-G2B PROJECT: MOE PREPARES TO CONDUCT LEADERSHIP & SCHOOL MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR 1,500 PRINCIPALS

The Ministry of Education holds three days  Masters Trainers (ToT) workshop in School Leadership and Management today at the Kakata Rural Teachers Training  Institute (KRTTI) in  Kakata, Margibi County. 


The program is funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and intended to expose Principals or School Leaders to good school Management skills, which is critical to better and improved learning outcomes. 

The training program implemented by the Teacher Training Institutions (TTIs) in partnership with the Liberia Education Action for Development (LEAD) will train about 400 principals per cohort. A total number of 1,500 Principals of Six  (6) Counties, including Bomi, River Cess, River Gee,  Sinoe, Maryland and Grand Kru will benefit over a period of three years.


Today’s activity which is the start of the 3-days session marks the skills development of the Trainers of Training considered as Master Trainers that are selected from the education system, including Rural Teachers Training Institutes (RTTIs), and  DEOs from the  Ministry of Education with requisite qualifications. These Master Trainers will be deployed to the selected counties to conduct training for various Principals.
